A night of comedy at The Chimney with Cocoon Central Dance Team,

John Early, Dan Chamberlain, Matt Barats, Annie Donley and Drennen Quinn.

COCOON CENTRAL DANCE TEAM is made up of Sunita Mani, Tallie Medel, and Eleanore Pienta. Kevin Laibson, artistic director of The Pit has said of this dance comedy trio:
"Cocoon Central Dance Team makes work that is precise, sophisticated, thoughtful, and progressive.  It is not like things we have seen, but it has learned from all the best things we have seen….The Marx Brothers but with modern dance."  Cocoon choreographed the 2013 NYC Marathon Opening Ceremony.  They have performed at Caroline's, MoMA PS 1, The PIT, Upright Citizens Brigade NY and LA.

John Early is a whisper that turns into thunder. What more is there to say? He was recently named one of the 50 Comedians You should Know in 2015 by New York Magazine's Vulture. He has appeared on 30 Rock, Broad City, and Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.

Dan Chamberlain is a veteran of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. His characters are brought to life by extreme invention and the quality of his acting. Many of his characters can be found on Funny or Die, MTV, Vice, and Above Average, where he is a staff writer.

Annie Donley, Matt Barats, and Drennen Quinn all hail from Chicago where they performed atiO, The Second City, The Annoyance, among other theaters. They perform both sketch and improv, independently and together alongside a slew of other talented collaborators. You can catch them performing weekly at The Holy Fuck Show and as part of the Annoyance house team FrogBoys. These three take risks in ways that would make your grandmother shudder, brace herself, and then laugh.
